Ok ladies, here is the skinny on sizing yourself for a corset. A corset is made to (when laced) take up to 2-4" off of your natural waist size. Think "Gone with the wind", and Scarlet has to be at 13" to fit her dress, so it was pulled tighter. So i have a 45" waist (i know, and I digress), that doesn't mean the corset that will fit my 45" waist should be bought at a size for 45", rather buy the corset that will give me the desired waist measurement after it's tightened or as I like to say "trussed". When you are a beginner meaning first time corset wearer order the size that will give you 2-4" smaller than your natural waist size (any smaller you might get light headed and pass out.) The laces are long but as I found not long enough to give me my desired max of 4". Easily fixed by buying the longest pair of shoe strings to add the length I needed to adequately trus my corset. Remember with each wear how much you need to tighten it will change as the corset breaks in and adjusts to your body. There will come a day that you won't need the extra length of laces (so remove them, and relace). I make corsets, and have studied plenty on sizing, tightening, breaking in, and wearing. Trust me I bought the right size, if I went a size up I wouldn't get the desired look and fit I expect. This is a excellent corset, and I would recommend it highly to anyone. Every body is different, some of us need longer laces, but that In no way makes this a bad product, and the Only way to get a perfect fit is have a custom fitting by someone who knows the amount of laceing that will be needed to give you your desired effect. Hope this helps! Only thing that made it somewhat small, was the fact that I needed extra length on the laces. It was easily remedied by adding shoe laces to the bunny ear portion, added photo and re-lacing the corset. Great price point and excellent quality, for me (a seasoned corset wearer) very comfortable as well. I don't use it for waist training, only fashion; however the quality and durability of this brand fit the bill if that's what you're looking to do. Quick delivery too. I'm a full figured fluffy gal 5'4" size 20/22, purchased a 3x as I wanted the options of 2" - 4" reduction based on how I truss the garment, fully tightened I'm a solid size 18 in the waist. This waist corset has garter attachment loops, they can be hard to find so I have added photos of the loops (fingers pointing them out 4 per side since the size changes as you truss/cinch the corset).

I love it! Outstanding quality for a steel of a price! I got a size smaller and so glad I did.

Pros: Attractive Fits well Correct sizing, no confusion The front and side panels are steel boned as stated Good stitching Good lacing with almost no give Sturdy material with no give Cons: A bit short on my torso If there is any issue with the quality over time, I will edit this post FYI: I haven't had this corset long enough to season it yet This isn't my first corset I'm 5'9" AND 145 lbs. Tips and Observations -There seems to be a lot of confusion with some of the negative reviews concerning waist training, fit and durability. Waist training is something that is supposed to be accomplished over time. If the corset arrived frayed or damaged or this vendor shipped a size you did not order, the wrong item or product or delayed shipping your goods and did not tell you, I would understand those bad reviews. But I feel like a lot of the negative reviews are due to not following sizing instructions, not knowing how to care for your corset or just not reading the product description. Here are a few things I noticed: For sizing and fit; DO NOT GO TOO SMALL. If your natural waist is 32" but you want a 22" waist do not buy the 22" corset. It will not fit. Go with the suggested corset (28") and work your way down over time. I was going to buy a bigger size than the vendor suggested based on some of the complaints and this would have been a waste of my time (since I would have had to return my corset and order a new one in the right size). For boning (phrasing, I know) and lacing; This corset has steel boning. I don't know why people are saying it has plastic boning. That almost put me off of buying this corset. If you have any concerns, buy the corset and test it with a magnet. If there is any type of pull, it is steel. I used a refrigerator magnet and got a strong pull from my corset with side, front and back panels. Also, "ribbon" laces refers to any type of flat corset laces as opposed to round laces, not actual ribbon. Real ribbon would shred and tear in the process of waist training and is usually used for costume corsets. To avoid any confusion with this, look at the photos of the back and the lacing to get an idea of what it looks like. For comfort; Wear your corset for a few hours every day with minimum tightening for the first few days. This is a brand new corset, you have to mold it to your body. After a week or 2, you can wear it longer and begin to tighten it a little more. It should begin to contour to your figure at this point. Seasoning your corset in this way not only makes it more comfortable to wear for long hours, but also ensures its longevity. To Avoid Damage; Do not tie your corset too tight when you first get it. Tight lacing when your corset is unseasoned is not only dangerous to your health, but uncomfortable and damaging to the corset itself. You can break the corset hooks and closures. SYNOPSIS OF THIS LONG REVIEW: Go by the vendor's suggestion for sizing. If you don't like it, return it. If you are new to wearing a corset, look up tips on the internet or ask a friend that wears one before rushing in and leaving a bad review. An unnecessary bad review can keep people from trying a great corset.

Great product, very happy with it. I'm 5'2 205 lb my waist is 40 and ordered 2xl feet's great and l totally could have ordered 3xl and had more lace room to work with but over all very satisfied with the product and will recommend it to my friends. Ps: Just a little help with size problem. If you are wandering how to figure out size on this particular product it's very safe to say that you can order with confidence a size bigger for example if you measure your waist and struggling to decide should I get 2xl or 3xl or 4xl you could totally get even as high as 4xl if you want because all what you get as extra is longer lace. The way this product is made is you got 2pcs and a lace holding them together, (a little examle once you but the corset on you will clamp it on the front then you will grab the lace from each side of your corset and pull them around your waist so the corset is going to tighten and that's what gives you the shape in your waist) so if you put your corset on and realized oh I have to much lace you could easily cut the lace shorter and Walla you now have 3xl or 2xl or even as low as Medium size corset if you wish to cut that much lace so can't really do a mistake on the size the only mistake you can do is get it to small and end up with not enough lace to work with. :) I hope this helps ;)

I'm new to waist training so I was looking for a good "first corset": something that would be a good enough quality to keep me interested but not break the bank. A good custom-fit corset runs hundreds of dollars but I don't want to commit that much yet. I knew I needed a steel-boned corset for it to work for what I want so that's what I searched and found this, with tons of positive reviews and in my price-range. At first I was skeptical that it was steel-boned because it can be bent. As a noob, I was expecting steel to be 100% rigid. I did the magnet test, however, and it's definitely metal, and it is pretty dang rigid anyway... it would be a pain if it were more stiff than it already is. Pros: Cosmetics: it's pretty; I got the black brocade and the pattern reminds me even more that I'm wearing an ultra-feminine Victorian-era form of lingerie. Shape: I didn't research corset shapes until AFTER I got this and realized it matters (I.e. hour glass, conical, wasp, s bend, pipe stem, waist cincher, etc.) I don't believe this is necessarily classified as any specific shape. In hindsight, I want conical because I DO want to bring my floating ribs in some, but conical is drastic to start and I think this provides a happy medium. Some corsets provide shapes I don't really find attractive, but this one provides a very flattering silhouette in my opinion and conforms to my body pretty dang well for an off-the-rack, unseasoned, non-custom corset. Fit: I have a 28" waist and ordered a Small rather than Medium. I couldn't have gone any smaller, but it loosens up a lot in the back so it still fits well, while giving me ample room to make progress. I was concerned it would fit too short given the photo online and that at 5'7" I'm tall-ish; not a giant but still considered tall for a female... but it's perfect for my torso height and if anything, I think it would be too tall if I were any shorter and not be comfortable to sit in. The top sits exactly at the crease of my breasts, which are 32DDD, and the bottom hits right above my hip bones which is what I wanted. If it were any longer, it would dig into my butt too much when I sit. I'm a size 6/8 in clothing and I've never felt "small' before but this corset makes me feel like I'm small even though 28" isn't small at all. The pictures I show are hardly cinched in at all. Feeling while wearing: I feel sexy wearing this; it makes me feel good about myself. I can see how corset-wearing encourages diet changes as well because I certainly don't feel like I could pig out while wearing this. The pressure on my digestive system makes me feel more full and as someone who follows an intermittent fasting regime, I think wearing this during my fasting phases will really help me curb cravings for food when I'm not actually hungry but craving food just because I like eating. I also like the feeling of support it gives me and as others have mentioned, it feels like a "constant hug" which makes me feel super secure. I like wearing it when I'm doing homework at my desk because it forces me to maintain good posture, and it's actually not uncomfortable to wear in bed, as long as you sleep very straight with little elevation from pillow. Cons: Laces: I think they're too stretchy and could wear out faster over time. If they weren't stretchy at all, I'm sure I could get a tighter fit.

I just received my waist trainer and I immediately had to put it on. Not only did I immediately feel skinnier and curvier, when I sit down I can feel my posture improving. It's really incredible. I highly recommend the product. It is true to size.

I am 5'6", 125 pounds with a natural waist of 27 inches, and I'm trying to get my waist down to 24 inches, so I ordered the Small/24", which supposedly fits a natural waist of 26-27 inches. Even with the laces tightened all the way, to the point where the two pieces of the corset are overlapping in the back, it only brought my waist down to 25 inches. So I returned it and got the extra small, which works, but now I'm noticing that it's a little short, cutting into my love handles a little and giving me a bit of a muffin top, and not quite making it to under my breasts. Again, I am 5'6", but I don't think I have a particularly long torso. So I'm going to give the longer-looking style a try and see how that goes! Otherwise, it seems very well made and I like that it is mesh! *Update* Got the longer style, it's perfect! So it's a little frustrating that the sizing is so misleading, but it's a great product, so just order a size down from what the numbers indicate you should!

Probably the best training corset on Amazon tbh. It fit really well, so it's true to size. Be sure to measure yourself before ordering so you can get the right size! You can actually feel it shaping your waist once you take it off, which feels really cool. (I'm the type of person that needs to feel and see that it's actually working, and it totally works!) Its definitely steel boned because once you take it off, it stays in the exact same shape it's meant to be. Also, you can tell by how heavy it is. I recommend doing some research of what it can do to your body while you train your waist (because it's kinda rearranging your intestines and all that stuff). My waist was at a around "44 (I'm a bigger gal) and went down to a "39, so this definitely works. Overall, super awesome, fits perfectly, definitely buying a smaller size so I can continue with my waist training! 😁

For a steel-boned corset bought on Amazon, the quality was better than I expected. I usually purchase from Timeless Trends or Orchard Corsets, but buying a corset from either of those online stores is rare since their corsets are pricey. I decided to try ShaperX on Amazon out of curiosity, and I was surprised with how well made it was for the price. It felt very snug and firm when I tight-laced with it. Advice - don't use the Amazon size chart but the ShaperX chart to convert the S,M,L labels to proper corset sizing. If you wish to do traditional corset waist training, the general rule is to get a corset at least 4 inches smaller than your natural waist. I have a 28" natural waist and currently wear size 24 corsets, so I purchased the S/24" and it fit perfect. May purchase more from ShaperX in the future.

Wow! Just wow! As embarrassing as it is, I wanted to show people before putting this godsend on and after. I’m 4months post part I’m and this made me feel sexy again. It does the trick that’s for sure. Only thing is that it’s not too comfortable and it’s a bit hard to put on by yourself. (To be expected)
